Thank you Barbara for the beautifully quilted gift for our grand daughter Tailyn! The pictures helped capture memories from her first 10 years of living. She absolutely flipped when opening her keepsake quilt. We are starting the next 10 year journey and look forward to see what you create in 2028! .........Ted Gibbs (San Antonio, Texas)
I had a quilt made from my fathers clothes( He passed in September 2014). The quilt is amazing!! Grandby's hit a home-run here! I had a quilt made for my daughter out of a life's worth (50 years) of hard rock shirts collected all over the world, her other shirts collected from horse shows and other important events in her life. She absolutely loved the quilt (also several pillows) and it brings back many special memories for her. My daughter was so excited and loves her {T-shirt} quilt! She is absolutely thrilled! The best {Christmas} gift of all! Each Tee means so much to her. She says it makes her feel good just to cuddle up in that quilt! Barbara and her granddaughter, Amber, do beautiful works of art. They really want to know about the person they are creating these beautiful treasures for! Hopefully, I will gather enough of my granddaughters' shirts to someday do the same for them. Thank you so much. Peggy Bashum.....Houston, Texas

Barbara and Amber did a beautiful job creating a quilt using some of my son's clothing. I chose pieces of clothes that were his favorites and some that I can vividly picture him wearing. Carefully crafted! That is what I think about when I see the memory t-shirt quilts Barbara made for our children. She spent a considerable amount of time making sure the t-shirts were just perfect, including the tip that stains are OK. These shirts represent Dad's life and love every time we look at them. Stains and all are part of those precious memories. Thanks to Barbara's wisdom and experience, all t-shirts were included to piece together the true tapestry of his precious life. She worked with each child to make sure the colors spoke to their heart and the arrangement was just like they wanted. The final products are beautiful and crafted with care. Barbara's work is more than just a project, it is a calling as she ministers to the family while "getting to know the lost loved one". She is amazing. She worked tirelessly to complete the quilts as a Christmas gift to the children while going through surgery! That is commitment! Thank you, Barbara, for sharing your loving craft with us. Barbara did an outstanding job at creating a Memory Quilt for my Parents' 50th anniversary. I consider her one of my great Internet friends! Easy to deal with, great workmanship and a reasonable price. The quilt created a lot of excitement and will be treasured always. Thank you so much. Debra Ohkawa,..................Monroeville, Pennsylvania
Barbara is an artist and a friend who has brought great comfort to me and my children by making 11! beautiful quilts from the clothes of my deceased wife, Dawn. Each quilt is different and all are special. My children and I have queen sizes, and we have six full size quilts for the grandchildren when they come along. This is a special way to treasure Dawn and preserve her memory for many generations. Barbara is very patient and extremely caring. Her concern for the memories and her sensitivity for the grieving family equal her skill as a quilter. She is a blessing and the quilts are forever. Thank you Barbara. Barbara is truly an artist. I have several of her pieces in my home. When I look at her quilts I marvel at the craftsmanship and I wonder just how many hearts she has touched through the years with the stories found in the different fabrics she has so perfectly assembled together. I appreciate the fact that she has continued as long as she has to keep this dying form of artistry alive. And now....she is passing along her craft to her granddaughter {Amber Montgomery} Thank you for not allowing our fast paced, technologically advanced world to stop you from creating! Shelley Talamantez.....Spring Branch, Texas
After my Dad passed away, the hardest thing for me to do was go in his closet and discard his clothes. I kept them there just as he had left them for 6 months. The thought of incorporating them into a quilt came to mind. I do some sewing but I knew this was far too large and important of a project for me to tackle. I decided to look online to find anyone I thought I could trust with this very personal project. Low and behold, I found Barbara! I shipped off Dad's clothes to her and she was an angel! I cannot begin to describe my feelings when I received Dad's quilt. Her workmanship is outstanding and top quality. I now have a very beautiful family heirloom from my Dad. My children and great Grandchildren had fun lo If you are interested in having a family heirloom made, Barbara is the one to do it!! Thank you, Barb. I will be forever grateful!! I received my quilt from your shop in 2007. Upon opening the package I couldn't hold back tears of joy and happiness. The top had been pieced by my Mother from West Virginia, who had passed away. Then my husband's favorite Aunt began to quilt it, then passed away, too. Then the quilt was topped off with all the love and attention it deserved by Barbara and her wonderful staff at Grandby's Quilts. This photo quilt is one WE treasure as will future generations to follow. I had only had it 2 days when a neighbor and 2 co-workers felt they needed a quilt project done, too. If you want something very special and completely unique, this is the place I recommend. You need look no further. Thanks again Grandby's, for putting a perfect ending to our year back then. I am absolutely in love with the quilt and throw that you made for my daughter and mother-in-law. My daughter sleeps with hers every night and my mother and father-in-law cried when they saw theirs. As you know, the quilts were made from my late husband's shirts and jeans and...well...as you can guess, meant soooooo much to us. Thank you so much for making these on such short notice and as fast as you did. Tracy Knetsar.....................Katy, Texas
Oh my goodness! we love the quilt!!!! I finally got to see the pictures of it when my sister came up to Minnesota for a family reunion. My Dad loved the quilt made for him and has already showed it off to his friends (who I think are a little jealous). You are an extraordinary quilter and we appreciated you doing this very special quilt for us. Thank you again!! Brittany Mellum..................... Indiana
Barbara, thanks so much for your lovely work on my Great Grandma's 5 quilt tops! It means so much to my family and I. Barbara taught me how to make a quilt out of my husband's Harley shirts that he had collected over many years. It was so much fun making the quilt, but the most fun was spending time with Barbara. She is such a loving person and you just feel the love being around her. Her talents are unlimited. She is the best of the best. Dolly Wodward..........Spring Branch, Texas
